Tenant fees DO NOT apply to tenants of assured shorthold tenancies since the Tenant Fee Ban 2019.
There are some permitted payments/charges as detailed below which McField Residential apply:
Before the Tenancy starts (payable to McField Residential ‘the Agent’):
Refundable* holding Deposit - equal to 1 week’s rent
Deposit - equal to 5 weeks’ rent (payable into the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) - Agent ID: 3521296)
During the Tenancy (payable to the Agent) for properties in England:
Change to the Tenancy Agreement requested by the Tenant - £50.00 plus any other reasonable costs
Fee for late payment of rent - 3% above Bank of England base rate per day after the first missed payment date
Replacement of lost key / security device - £25 plus the cost of the key / security device
Early termination of Tenancy by Tenant - equal to 5 weeks' rent
Unless otherwise stated in our advert and / or Tenancy Agreement, payments in respect of utilities, communication services, TV licence and Council Tax are the responsibility of the Tenant
*non-refundable if the referencing application has been falsely completed or the Tenant decides not to go ahead with the Tenancy (to cover administration costs incurred by the Agent)
